The
Nera WorldCommunicator is the smallest and
lightest Inmarsat GAN system available today. It
comes with a foldable antenna and small satellite
modem. The satellite modem is can operated and
setup via a laptop and can be remoted up to 70
metres away from the antenna. The Satellite modem
also has a DECT base station installed providing
wire free voice communication.
High
speed data services are available via the ISDN
port and internal PPP modem providing up to 64kbps
data for high speed emai, web access and video
transfer. Using the internal modem means you do
not need an ISDN modem you simply connect your PC
via an RS232 cable.
Low
cost voice using the Inmarsat Mini-m channel
(4.8kbps) is available plus high quality voice at
64kbps.
